I actually got this gorgeous feather Cossack hat last Christmas (2013 I mean) but the months following were too mild to wear it - you need a really cold day to wear this beauty. So it finally got its first outing this month when the temperature dropped, and =ohhhhhh= how it keeps your head warm. With a checked coat bought a few winters ago (that I'd almost forgotten I had), a thick roll neck sweater, coloured jeans and ankle boots I had a toasty warm 'winter neutrals' outfit. With a bit of red thrown in.
You need a certain amount of confidence to wear a hat like this - I'm a big fan of hats and usually happier with a hat than without - but this one is so huge it takes a lot of bottle to go round doing the whole Julie-Christie-in-Dr-Zhivago thing. Mind you, I have a little head so it's nice to have it beefed up for a change. ..!
Are you a fan of hats? Do you feel you need a lot of confidence to wear them - and would you wear one this huge?! Let me know!
